After my disappointment with the DCUO statue, I discovered Kotobukiya's Bishoujo collection and the recently released Wonder Woman. It was love at first sight. She's gorgeous statue with great detail, and wonderful coloring that brightens up my dark gloomy desk.
The statue is made of plastic, and it seems like it's less likely to smash to bits compared to my porcelain ones. Wonder Woman stands tall and proud at 9inches, gripping her Lasso of Truth in both hands. She has wonderful muscle details and her face has a soft yet stern look; she looks a lot less manly then quite of a few of other WW statues out there. Her hair is blowing in the breeze, and though she has black hair, the ends of her strands are fairly clear and smoky grey.
I love the detailing of her W on her top - a lot of statues out there seem to have just a bland W. The detail her corset is fantastic, with the boning of the corset and the line of the belly button on her gold belt. Her tiara has subtle detailed lines in it where as other statues out there have a plain flat tiara with a star jabbed in the middle.
The base is quite interesting; with 3 Roman styled objects scattered by her feet: a roman helmet that isn't glued to the base and can be moved anywhere; a large red, blue, gold and white shield style with a hint of American pride, and three spears that can be placed in holes behind the spear ((I personally have them lying flat behind it since I have my statue pressed closely to the wall)).
Her hair color is more smokey grey than pure jet black. And the tips are partially see-through.
The only detail that is slightly disappointing is the Lasso of Truth. It's not of high quality design and is just a basic malleable piece of plastic that is inserted into her hands. It's minute details takes away from the superior gold details on her outfit, but one can't be too picky :p
All in all, it's a statue that rivals my Cover Girl ones in quality; even though it's plastic and not Porcelain.
